The Community Payback team enables those who have received a sentence from the Court to make reparation by completing unpaid work that is of benefit to the local community.

This role is to supervise diverse groups of up to 8 adult offenders undertaking Community Payback (Unpaid Work) in various settings across the County.  Managing a group on a project is both rewarding and challenging and involves encouraging offenders participation in the work, as well as leading by example and maintaining the discipline of the group, so engaging offenders to get the best experience from their punishment.

The successful applicant would be able to demonstrate their commitment to delivering our excellent service, and respond in an assertive and appropriate manner when dealing with any difficult situations that arise.  You will possess some knowledge and experience in various types of practical work, eg, outdoor work such as DIY, gardening and conservation and knowledge of Health and Safety at Work procedures and legislation.   There is initial training of 5 days to prepare to work in this challenging environment.

It is essential that applicants have a driving licence.

Various hours are available, including weekends.
