Community Payback helps charity to improve cycle routes in Walsall

P_20160327_141218Sustrans is a national charity that develop networks of cycle ways nationwide, such as this one between Pelsall and Rushall in Walsall Borough.  Simon Harris is the Project Officer who first made contact and continues to oversee the project.  Samminder Khan is the supervisor who has worked with his groups on the project and has attracted plenty of excellent feedback from both Sustrans and the general public.

Local resident Phil Ross said: “I would like to give my appreciation/thanks, and also from the residents of Station Road, and cycle track users, for the excellent work that you arrange to keep the cycle track clean and tidy.  This is much appreciated by all concerned, and long may it last.  Thank you very much.”

The project has consisted mainly of edging and cutting back overgrown pathways to create excellent cycle ways and contribute to Sustrans natural habitat plan.
